When creating our range of musical instrument maintenance products, we knew that we wanted them to be made in Britain, which is where we’re based. We’re really proud of having been able to achieve this, so want to explain why it’s important to us, and why we think it should be important to you!
Why is making products in Britain good for us?
Before COVID, we were able to meet with our suppliers face-to-face. Not only is this great for establishing strong relationships with them, but also gives us the opportunity to see manufacturing in progress. We can test products, and see exactly how they’re being made. We obviously haven’t been able to do this for a little while, but look forward to visiting them all when it’s safe to do so!
Visiting our suppliers also makes it easy to check quality control, but we also rely on the UK’s strict regulations for the manufacturing industry. These regulations ensure that suppliers manufacture to an approved industry standard. They also cover other important factors like how they treat their employees. We have peace of mind that our suppliers pay at least the minimum wage and maintain high standards of working conditions.
Another great benefit is that our products never have to travel too far to make it to us. Not only does this mean that we can get our hands on product faster, but it’s also good for reducing our carbon footprint!
By working with UK-based companies we’re able to support other UK-based businesses. This keeps British people in jobs, as well as keeping specific manufacturing skills alive. Some of our products are made by small to medium-sized companies, whilst others are made by one-man or one-woman bands. Whoever they are, we love working with them and supporting our economy.

Some of our products are even made here in our very own office! UK made products have a great reputation globally for quality. By buying our products, you can be confident that they’re of high quality and will do the job we’ve designed them for. We also like to think that our consumers care as much about manufacturing regulations, working conditions and our carbon footprint as we do!
Why do we have Made in Britain certification?
We adopted the official, protected Made in Britain mark last year to help buyers recognise our new range of musical instrument maintenance products as good quality, great value and British-made. The Made in Britain mark also lets you know that we’re a trusted company. We value transparency, sustainability and ethical business practices. Consumers are increasingly recognising the Made in Britain mark as a mark of confidence.
This achievement has been important to all our team members. It has been a goal of our Managing Director, Alun Hughes, since the inception. The certificate is proudly displayed in our office! We are also delighted to be joining a group of such iconic British manufacturers.

Why does the Made In Britain campaign exist?
The Made in Britain organisation helps Britain’s manufacturers to grow. It provides support to its members in sales, marketing, PR and export. Members of Made in Britain can be found in a searchable directory at madeinbritain.org. This gives detailed information about their manufacturing businesses, including company news and links to their websites and social media activity. Buyers and procurement professionals use the Made in Britain directory to find suppliers.

How do we use the Made in Britain mark?
We use the official Made in Britain mark on our packaging, and all of our documentation. We also share it across our social media channels on a regular basis. The mark is proudly displayed to indicate to our UK customer base that our products have been manufactured here at home. We display it to highlight the importance of the British brand in overseas markets. The Made in Britain mark acts as a mark of excellence.
