Headwind Music is a woodwind and brass shop based in Bristol, specialising in vintage and second-hand saxophones.
Headwind is owned and operated by three local players: Tom Gorst (a Jazz studies graduate), Ben Plocki (one of the only gigging bass sax players around) and John Pratt (a sax player and woodwind & brass repairer). We all know how valuable it is to speak with people who really understand our instruments…and these guys most certainly live and breathe saxophone!
Headwind has trying out facilities on site, as well as repair services and an in-house teaching facility for saxophone. Alongside a wide range of new and used saxophones and accessories (now including our Edgware cork grease!), Headwind Music offer a range of flutes and clarinets, and a basic range of brass instruments.
